Think you're ready to start on your profile? Well here's a few more things you need to know and then you can get started!
Length
Your character profile must be 120 words or more long, and needs to be complete sentences and not just words. You can have words for the name, nation, and if they are a bender or not sections but the rest needs to be sentences.
Neatness
To roleplay, you need to be good at your writing skills. So make sure you don't have tons of spelling errors in your profile submission or else it's not going to look so good. If you think you might be making mistakes, you can use the spellcheck button that you can find next to 'Preview' while you're posting a message.
Rules
Your profile needs to also follow the rules of the forums, so if you don't know them be sure to read Avatar Illusion's rules before making your profile.
Title of Profile
The title of your profile is just your character's name.
Character Names
All character names must be asian-based names. That means no names like 'Bob,' or 'Kaitlin,' seeing as those aren't asain-based names. If you need help looking for the right asian-based name for your character, there are some site that can help. I recommend sites like this one: www.babynamenetwork.com/baby_names/origins/Japanese_baby_names.cfm
Already Approved Profiles
Make sure you don't accidently submit a character that has the same name as one that has already been approved, or else it can't be accepted. And also, if you already have an approved profile you can be more than one. Every roleplayer can have up to 2 different characters that they can play if they want. If you play a cannon character from the show though, you can only have one. It wouldn't be fair if someone was allowed to play 2 cannon characters, now would it?
Character Outline
After reading that, you should be ready to start on your character's profile! So here is the outline of what it should look like:
Name: (Your account name ahead of time should be your character's name, if not you can private message the admin and ask them to change it. You have to have your name changed before you submit your profile though.
Age:
Nation: (This must be the nation they were born into, even if they are living in another nation. If your character is a firebender, then that means they are originally a Fire Nation citizen, even if they live at the North Pole.)
Bender?: (Optional)
Weapon(s)?: (Optional)
Features: (What color are their eyes? Their hair? What do they look like? Explain your character and how they look here.)
Clothes (If you don't know the names of any asian style clothes, try searching and finding out. Characters from Avatar don't wear just regular t-shirts and jeans. And what colors or things do they have on their clothes?)
Background: (What is their history like? Did they grow up in a small town in the western part of the Earth Kingdom, living in a regular sized house? What was it like, did they like it there? Or did they journey around?)
Sample of Roleplaying: This is optional, but it might give you a better chance if you show us an example of your roleplaying. It has to at least be more than 2 sentences if you do give a sample though.
And that's it! Now you can post yours in the Profiles Awaiting Approval Section, or if you are working on your profile still and aren't finished, you can post it in the Unfinished Profiles and move it over to the awaiting list when you think you are ready. If yours is accepted, it will be moved to the Accepted Profiles Section and you can start roleplaying as your character!
